By using Photos Shield - Encrypt Photos ("the App"), you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this Privacy Policy.
Important: Photos Shield - Encrypt Photos uses industry-standard AES (Advanced Encryption Standard) encryption to protect your photos locally on your device. No internet connection is required for the core functionality of encrypting and decrypting your photos. Your encrypted photos never leave your device.
1. Information We Collect
We collect minimal information to provide and improve our service:
- Photos and Media: The App accesses your device's photos solely for the purpose of encryption/decryption. All encryption happens locally on your device using AES encryption. We do NOT upload, transmit, or store your photos on any external servers.
- Device Information: We collect anonymous device information including:
- Device type and model
- Operating system version
- Unique device identifiers (for analytics purposes only)
- App version information
- Analytics Data: We use Google Analytics to collect anonymous usage statistics to help improve the App, including:
- App feature usage patterns
- Session duration
- Screen views
- Anonymous interaction data
- Crash Reports: We use Google Firebase Crashlytics to collect crash reports and technical diagnostics to improve app stability.
2. How We Use Your Information
We use the collected information for the following purposes:
- To provide core encryption/decryption functionality using AES encryption
- To maintain and improve the App's performance and user experience
- To analyze app usage patterns and optimize features
- To identify and fix technical issues through crash reporting
- To display Google Ads within the App, which helps us provide the service free of charge
🔒 Security Features
AES Encryption: Your photos are encrypted using AES (Advanced Encryption Standard), the same encryption standard used by governments and security agencies worldwide. The encryption key is derived from your password and is never stored or transmitted.
Local Processing: All encryption and decryption operations happen entirely on your device. No internet connection is required for these core features.
3. Data Storage and Security
- Local Storage Only: Your encrypted photos are stored only on your device. We do not have access to your photos or encryption passwords.
- Password Security: Your encryption password is hashed using SHA-256 and stored locally. We cannot retrieve or reset your password.
- No Cloud Storage: The App does not use cloud storage or backup services for your encrypted photos.
4. Third-Party Services
The App uses the following third-party services:
- Google Ads: To display advertisements. Google may collect certain information to serve relevant ads. Google's advertising practices are governed by Google's Privacy Policy.
- Google Analytics: To collect anonymous usage statistics and improve the App.
- Firebase Crashlytics: To collect crash reports and improve app stability.
5. Data Sharing
We do NOT share, sell, or transmit your personal information or photos to any third parties. The only data shared with third parties is:
- Anonymous analytics data with Google Analytics
- Crash reports with Firebase Crashlytics
- Ad-related data with Google Ads (as per Google's policies)
6. Your Rights and Controls
You have the following rights:
- Photo Access: You can revoke the App's access to your photos at any time through your device settings.
- Opt-out of Personalized Ads: Visit Google Ad Settings to opt-out of personalized advertisements.
- Data Deletion: Uninstalling the App will remove all locally stored data, including encrypted photos and settings.
- Analytics Opt-out: You can opt-out of Google Analytics by using the opt-out features in your device settings.
7. Children's Privacy
The App is not intended for use by children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
8. Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update our Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be reflected by updating the "Effective Date" at the top of this page. We encourage you to review this Privacy Policy periodically for any changes.

Remember: Your photos are encrypted with AES encryption and stored only on your device. We cannot access your photos or help recover them if you forget your password. Please keep your password safe!
